Nestled in between Denia and Altea and overlooked by the Montgo Mountain, Javea is one of the popular resorts of the region. It is sandwiched between two bays – the Cabo San Antonio and the Cabo San Martin, with the city being divided into three parts – the Jave Pueblo, Javea Puerto, and the Playa de Arenal. The Playa de Arenal is Javea’s beach area with its golden sand stretching some 300 metres from Parador. It is packed with restaurants, cafes and bars. There are numerous volleyball nets in the area as well as wide spaces where the children can play. Tourists who prefer sightseeing would enjoy the stunning view being offered by the Cabo de la Nao, a small hill located some 8 kilometres from Playa de Arenal. There are also golf courses available in the area as well as facilities for go-karting.
