Cala Mayor Hotels
Nestled a few kilometres southwest of Majorca and Palma, Cala Mayor and is one of the oldest tourist spot in Majorca. It is more of a residential area than a resort and surrounds the Cala Mayor Bay. It is home to The Marivent Palace, the summer house of the Spanish Royal Family and boasts of a wonderful pale beach sand and clear waters. The most popular types of activities at Cala Mayor are beach volleyball and sand castle- building. In the hills above Cala Mayor, one can see the village of Genova with its fine Majorcan restaurants. Tourists who prefer sightseeing may visit the Museo Pilar i Joan Miró Foundation or the large shopping centre Porto Pi as well as the Genova caves.
